Bringing Value Awareness to Portraits; (3) Saturdays, July 11th, 18th and 25th, mornings 10:30am (MST)

Students are encouraged to paint/draw during class, have necessary materials on the ready (pencil, paper, canvas and paints. For the next three Saturday’s we'll be delving into portrait painting world, from concept sketches to finished details. We’ll introduce why it is important to have mystery in our communication, value and color awareness, expanding our language of mark-making/brushstrokes. We'll plot out our composition and design our value structure, beyond what is in front of us. I encourage everyone to paint along with the broadcasts, so have your materials ready! Of course, you can just watch and take notes, if you prefer. 

Classes are held using Zoom. A recording of the live class will be available to students who miss class, or for who want to view it again at their leisure.
